Digital Products, Senior Engineer - Rixensart

The mission and vision of the Vaccines Accelerator Hub (VAH) is to drive the delivery and impact of digital devices, platforms and business models. In order to deliver on this vision, product management and business design capabilities are required to drive the definition and articulation of opportunity value definition and ultimately quantify how value can be delivered through work in the space.

As a Digital Products team member , it is crucial to cultivate the teams and strategy that create these products and services, in partnership with peers, stakeholders, product management leads and business design experts.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business functions maintaining close ongoing strategic relationships with stakeholder and partners of the business units : : Research & Development, Manufacturing, Commercial, Medical and Quality.
  • Work in close partnership with peers in the VAH to help define business models and value propositions, and to develop a clear & impactful strategy for new product offerings
  • Drive new ways of thinking, bringing in trends from inside and outside the industry
  • Identify new potential partners or suppliers the VAH could work with, articulates approach and benefit for wider VAH alignment
  • Develop opportunity canvas and briefs broader VAH team dependent on sprint requirements
  • Assist in developing prototypes and artifacts that demonstrate advanced concepts for further validation
  • Works with sprint teams to articulate sprint outcomes in a visually engaging way, ensuring engaging storytelling of the opportunity potential, next steps and rally the business units around the opportunity
  • Works with peers in other VAH pillars to ensure the right resource is being leveraged, ensure the deliverables are met in timely manner and is part of each sprint
  • Works closely with Innovation Product Lead, escalating any risks and issues
  • Contribute to the strategic direction setting and project prioritization for the business units.
  • Works and leads sprint teams to inspire mobilise and ensure sprint outcomes and next steps are communicated in an engaging way
  • Aligns all key stakeholders to ensure teams are taken on the journey and are aligned to next steps
  • Owns stakeholder management and alignment to ensure those part of the wider business unit are bought into and behind an opportunity, are clear on objective, output and next steps and are inspired by what could be achieved and value it could bring
  • Solves challenges relating to sprint kick-offs and stakeholder inclusion
  • Works with Business Design Lead and Data Science Lead to provide recommendations and solve for project pipeline challenges
  • Partners with other Business Function Leads to leverage joint opportunities, share learnings and ideate
  • Manages and maintains key close relationships with Product teams aligning to objectives, challenging strategy to ensure VAH can deliver on disruptive opportunities
  • Manages and inspires Sprint teams, key meetings with the business and ensures key messages are clear and engaging
  • Works closely with peers in the Core team to define the strategic direction for each sprint
  • Works closely with other Product Innovation Leads on learnings to leverage and apply across Products
  • Shares work to date and insights in DDA stand-ups and at other opportunities with GSKs innovation hub teams to leverage any opportunities to join areas of the business together either through insights or in experiences GSK can provide its customers

    Basic Qualifications:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Min bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business, Marketing or related field
  • 2-3 years of Strategic Account management, Experience Strategy or relevant experience within a digital or consulting environment
  • 2-3 experience in successful delivery of design and development projects in an Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall environment
  • Fluency in English
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    If you have the following characteristics it would be a plus:

  • Strategic Account Management experience in a digital environment
  • Knowledge of and curiosity about technology and its impact on design solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experienced launching digital products into the market
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fluid organization.
  • A natural skill to engage with people at a deep level whether observing or interviewing customers or working with fellow team members and clients.
  • A passion for representing the human perspective in design and skills in bringing this passion to life for the team.
  • A high level of attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about excellence and attention to detail.
  • A self-starter who identifies opportunities and potential problems addressing them effectively and efficiently.
  • A visual and verbal storyteller, delivering insights about people and behavior in a way that generates empathy, emotion, and engagement from the client and design team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to communicate in a clear, consistent, and transparent manner.
  • Excellent understanding of product design, software or digital development A high level of attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
