Business Development Manager APAC


* You define and facilitate core business development activities in APAC (excl. China, Korea & Japan) and sectors where Materialise is active to ensure that potential commercial opportunities can be identified and realized.
* You design cost-effective yet innovative options for intelligent marketing and for boosting sales.
* You maintain good contacts with policy makers within the sector, with external experts in the industry and the authorities to ensure that we can anticipate changes or new developments and trends within the sector at any given moment.
* You maintain contacts with existing and potential customers to ensure that commercial relations can be developed even further and to build up strategic alliances
* You are an important link between Marketing & Sales, Research & Production and works mainly in close collaboration with the Medical and Software business units of Head Quarter and the APAC office managers.


* You are well-informed about the evolutions and developments related to our markets and the specific regions.
* You are passionate about a multi-faceted business and have an in depth knowledge of the APAC market
* An in depth knowledge of a software and / or medical business environment is a plus
* As an inspiring leader, you are eager to coach and mentor the local offices
* Apart from good communication skills, both verbal and written, good negotiation skills, market-assessment techniques and insights, and confidence while talking with clients, suppliers, or contractors are of great importance.
* Willing to travel substantially in APAC and to be reallocated on longer term
