Job Description

Total Polymers Antwerp produces yearly around 400kt virgin high density polyethylene to be supplied mainly to the construction, automotive and packaging industries. As part of the Totalenergies company, the site is transforming itself, deploying a digital transformation roadmap and is also diversifying its product portfolio including recycled polyethylene products. The department of valorisation is looking for a candidate VIE to support the digital transformation of the plant.

Optimization of the current business reporting is the starting point for the implementation of the digital transformation roadmap of the plant.

Your missions will be:

Optimization of business reporting

As an introduction the business analyst will introduce the candidate to the current business reporting set-up of de Total Polymers Antwerp. The idea is to support the analyst during the monthly closing preparation for a couple of months. This would give a good overview of the way the plant is running and help in the identification of value pockets.
In a second step, the rationalization and optimization of the monthly reporting process could be prepared independently of the recurrent deadlines for which the analyst will remain responsible. A new reporting process with increased robustness and efficiency (rationalization, automatization) should be designed. Some improvements have already been identified but there is still room to implement new findings coming out the first analytical step. The “go live” step will be implemented in collaboration with the business analyst with support of IT teams if necessary.
You will support the valorisation team by issuing and standardizing analytical newsletters to be shared internally with the aim to improve “the cost awareness and the steady research to increased efficiency” at plant level. This knowledge will serve as the background to work on the digital transformation of the plant.
You will support the valorization & logistic teams in the context of a running improvement project to optimize the plant operations regarding planning/scheduling, off grade management and logistics.
