Unilever Future Leaders Program – Supply Chain (Belgium)

What will you be doing?

You could be finding a new way to get 12,000litersof ice cream acrossthe desert without it melting,be responsible for setting up the supply chain network for a productinnovation,ordesigning a more efficient distribution network to enable us to store and deliver our productsmoresustainably to our customers. What do we look for?

Whichever area you work in – Planning, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Logistics, Innovationor Procurement– you’ll need to be ambitious, an excellent analytical thinker with a drive for getting things done,and a real talent for delivering through others. While we are open to applications from all disciplines, typically (but not exclusively) atechnical education orbackground inEngineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, ScienceorMathscanbe an advantage.

What will theprograminvolve?

Theprogramis designed toaccelerateyou into a manager in 3 years’ time(if your performance is up toour highstandards).You’ll develop your individual leadership skills by working on live projects and roles which offer you all the experience needed to become ready for your first management role. Over three years you’llcover at least three or fourrotationsto gain experience in several key areas.

  • In the end, we sell our products to consumers every day. That is why every UFLP will start their career joining our Field Force team for two months, to learn all about our consumers and customers. Both in retail (Supermarkets) as in Food Solutions (Chefs in Restaurants) and in Out of Home (all other outlets like gas stations &themeparks). It’s a great opportunity to really get to know the other “Future Leaders”.

  • Following your stint in the Field Force team, you will coverrotations in several parts of our SC organization to build a broad understanding and experience as a SC professional. 

  • Support and empowerment: We'll support you every step of the way to senior management, but much of your progress will be up to you. You'll need to be focused and ambitious to get where you want, find opportunities and take responsibility for your own development. You will be linked to a mentor, who is a senior SC leader, who can support and advise you.

  • During the three years of yourprogramyou will be learning and developing in the rotations you will be doing, having real responsibility and impact. This development is supported with a learning roadmap full of internal and external training focused on developing your individual leadership skills.

    In the final stage of the application process, our Discovery Day, you will be working on individual and group cases in Supply Chain. During this day you will meet senior leaders from the business. By applying, you confirm that you will be able to physically be in Brussels on the day of the Discovery Centre (29thof November 2021).

  • Additionally, note you will only be able to apply for a UFLP position once every 12 months. 

  • In order to be eligible to apply for the UFLP inBelgium, you must have attained a minimum of aMaster’sdegreeon the date you will start your UFLP at Unilever (starting date to be 1stofSeptember2022).

  • For Supply Chain, fluency in English is required.Additional French and/or Dutch is a strong asset.
