In order to further strengthen the scientific team working on our Small Molecule portfolio, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader for the Center of Excellence of Predictive Analytics and Stability Sciences:

The Global Clinical Release and Stability (CRS) team in Analytical Development is recruiting a candidate with a strong technical background in chemical characterization and stability profiling of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Drug Products through drug chemistry, exploratory and confirmatory stability studies as well as predictive stability models. As a result of these endeavors, drug candidates can be accelerated through the development pipeline by ensuring the chemical stability behavior of novel molecules is understood.

Further, the jobholder will lead a small team of experts in predictive analytics and stability sciences who support the Discovery, Development and Commercial organizations. Aligned with the CRS strategy, as set out by the Head Small Molecule Global CRS, the job holder will set the overall strategy for the Center of Excellence of Predictive Analytics and Stability Sciences covering continuous scientific and technology advancement, benchmarking and evolving strategies with respect to chemical characterization and chemical stability profiling of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Drug Products. The jobholder is responsible for ensuring that the tools, processes, technologies, equipment, training are in place in his/her team and that safety-health-environmental and quality-compliance standards, policies and procedures are in place and adhered to. Finally, the job holder will have responsibility for staffing and budgeting for his/her organization.


Overall Qualifications
* PhD in Organic/Analytical chemistry, Chemical Engineering , Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent through experience
* Experience in Pharmaceutical Industry is a plus

Experience and Skills
* Strong track record of achievements in the area of stability sciences with deep knowledge of modern stability assessment and analytical techniques is required.
* Good understanding of the regulatory guidelines and ability to influence health authorities
* Passionate to lead a team of experts and work in multidisciplinary team to contribute to right-first-time development
* Demonstrated creativity and innovation in problem solving
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English both verbal and in writing
* Good soft skills, willing to challenge the status quo in a constructive manner suggesting alternative solutions for existing problems

Differentiating Competencies
* Experience in Pharmaceutical Industry is a plus
* Experience in people leadership is a plus
* Good understanding of the regulatory stability guidelines and ability to influence health authorities to introduce novel approaches
* Strong network of collaborators in area of Stability Sciences
