Supply Chain Analyst

Does working as a Supply Chain Analyst in a customer-oriented environment sound fun to you? If so, we have an opportunity! The mission of our Supply Chain team is to make sure we deliver to our stores on time, in full and at the lowest possible cost. As Supply Chain Analyst you impact this by helping and guiding the business and top management with their operational and strategic decision making by formulating clear recommendations based on solid data analysis. You exploit Delhaize’s database by using tools, statistical methodologies, and advanced data analytics to provide your internal clients and management with clear, objective, and relevant information to make decisions.

As our Supply Chain Analyst you translate business needs into analyses and recommendations by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting internal and external data. Based on this you formulate actionable recommendations for your internal clients and for management. You will communicate and present these observations, results, and recommendations to them in an objective way and in a way that can be easily understood by audiences with a different (non-technical) background. You develop statistical models with Azure Databricks and advanced visualizations with PowerBI to help the business to understand root causes and better anticipate future developments. You will also build forecasting models using different types of software and keep feeding the AI model with new data in order to improve the accuracy. You evaluate or predict the performance or impact of commercial campaigns, new concepts, and external events. You are the contact person for the created models and analysis, as such you support and help different departments to put concrete action plans into place. To be able to share your knowledge with the rest of the organization you proactively follow market trends. You participate in ad hoc supply chain projects and make sure objectives and timelines are respected. You identify shortcomings in methodologies and procedures, propose alternatives and are responsible for an efficient and successful follow-up.

As Supply Chain Analyst, it is crucial you have at least two years of experience in a similar position and a good working knowledge of SQL or another programming language (such as Python). If you are used to working with Databricks and/or Power BI it is a plus. You have acquired this knowledge during your studies combined with a practical internship or already have experience in a similar position. You are accurate and have an analytical mind. Seeing as you will coordinate between different stakeholders you have strong interpersonal skills. You are a good communicator in French, Dutch and English. You are not reluctant to ask for information and are curious to learn as much as possible. You can manage your stress and work autonomously.
