Software & Automation Process Engineer

A global leader based in Brussels, active in the electronics sector is looking for a Software & Automation Process Engineer to improve and develop applications that support production processes in all sites of the Resistant Components division.

As a Software & Automation Process Engineer, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Introduce and improve the Data management of the manufacturing processes by enhancing the existing cloud application
  • Collaborate with Engineering and production departments in order to improve the process engineering

  • Provide technical leadership (regarding NLR applications, software programming, automation, and data capturing)

  • Maintain database and APP's of NLR-division and resolving related problems within different sites dispatched in the world

  • Open to learn production processes and establish good communication with operators to avoid faulty data capturing of the process

  • Prepare required documentation (at the program level and user level) and maintain records to document revisions.

  • The ideal candidate for the position of Software & Automation Process Engineer holds a bachelor's degree in automation, and has experience, or at least a strong interest in process, programming, and statistical techniques; 2 years of experience with Microsoft.NET; SQL-database querying in VB. MYSQL and knowledge of lean is an added value. Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of Dutch and French is a plus.
