Working around the globe, Fugro employs approximately 10,000 employees in around 60 countries.2.Roles and responsibilitiesThe successful candidate will actively participate to the development of the land consultancy business. In particular, the key roles and responsibilities associated with this position include: In a supervisory role, plan, develop, coordinate, prepare and oversee reporting for multiple projects and clients.Independently provide geotechnical interpretation, analysis and advice in a variety of standard and non-standard geotechnical engineering studies.Lead the development of specific technical areas of expertise.Ensure the commitments to clients are met in budget, timelines and quality, and maintain close relationships with the clients during the project and beyond.Investigate and identify market opportunities, develop client portfolio and relations and prepare proposals.Provide support and guidance to a small team of junior geotechnical engineersObserve and follow all company safety rules and procedures3.requirementsIn a fast-paced engineering consultancy environment, applicants will have demonstrable technical excellence, commercial, project management, and people management experience and skills, with a desire to continually learn and develop these skills. The key requirements are:A Master’s degree or PhD in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent is required.At least 5 to 10 years of working experience in geotechnical engineering and in managing projects and customer relationsProven ability to contribute new designs or techniques, which are of significance in the solution of important high added value projects. Strive for further developing these skills with the objective to become a recognised expert in your own fieldHave an in depth knowledge of the geotechnical practice and markets in BelgiumHave excellent written and verbal skills in English, and Dutch or French.
