• Master Degree in Engineering/Data Science/Statistics
• Solid knowledge in statistics
• Good engineering problem solving approach
• Knowledge of naturalistic driving studies
• Proficient coder (Python, Matlab)
• Experience in Design of experiment with human participant is an asset
• Fluent in English (TME business language)

Electronics Engineering – ADAS Advanced Development team
As part of Advanced Technology department our team is responsible for the pre-development of Advance Driving Assistance System (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) technology. We contribute to the development of Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) and Teammate systems for vehicles designed and built in Europe (9 manufacturing plants in EU) as well as for system developed and marketed globally.
Towards the challenge of Zero accident and autonomous driving (AD), we research how to extend ADAS function towards a accident free manual driving and AD. Data driven methods is at the core of our pre-development projects. We study large amount of past accident configuration in order to continuously extend the coverage of our active-safety systems towards a technology securing Zero accident on the roads. Understanding the human behaviour and personalise our products is also key to a seamless introduction of this new technology in the market. Considering the complexity and variety of situation in real-life driving we need to research innovative approach for system development.
The ADAS pre-development (senior) engineer task consist in studying naturalistic driver behavior through big data, developing an analytical pipeline to extract classify and predict the driver and traffic behaviour using AI & Machine Learning technics implement and test these feature. Our onsite Driving simulator and test track allows our engineer to have short confirmation loop at every step of the development process. The tasks also include documenting, reporting its work as well as actively proposing future pre-development activities.
