Terminal Solutions & Services (TSS)

As dedicated Global Business Line within Worldline, TSS is developing terminal hardware and software to support internal and external partners in their acceptance and acquiring business.

From the terminal software side, TSS is responsible for the development of the different layers and ranges from the HAL, over Operation Systems, platform frameworks and payment applications. In the EMEA region, the “Core Western Europe” department is responsible for the following terminals payment applications: CTAP (Benelux and cross border), ep2 (Switzerland and cross-border), ZVT (Germany and cross-border) and CB (France). The Worldline Global Business Line Merchant Services is one of the important stakeholders for the development of these solutions.

The different teams in the “Core Western Europe” department are responsible of the whole chain of the development, from customer request analysis, technical roadmap, development, testing … up to the delivery and technical support.

Mission

As application development engineer in the CTAP team, you are responsible for defining, (functional) analysing, developing, validating and documenting the application software (payment and framework applications). Developments include the development of the functionality, (automatic) unit testing and (automatic) functional testing within the test framework which is developed in house. You will participate to the design of the solution, and to the documentation of it.

You will cooperate with a flexible development team consisting of colleagues in Belgium and abroad, which means that good communication skills are essential. You could be involved in the support of off-shored activities. Our development methodology is based on Agile/Scrum. We offer you an environment where you can improve and deploy your technical and personal skills.

Our technical/development environment is based on programming languages (C, Java, Python…), OSes (Linux, Android…), tools (compilers, debuggers, source management, code review, daily builds…), etc. A very strong interest in a high technical development environment is a must for this function. Shortly, you are quick to get to grips with new technologies and you have an innovative attitude.

Knowledge of and/or experience with secure coding, tooling like Jenkins, Nexus, Docker, Java scripting, web hooks is a definite big advantage.

Skills & experience

  • Engineer or Software developer (Master degree)
  • Experience in application development & testing (preferable embedded)

  • Have knowledge of C programming language
  • Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and networks
