Senior Business Analyst (Mid-Senior Level)
Financial Accountant Location: Part Brussels/Part Remote An opportunity has arisen for someone to work within the small finance team at ReachCentrum, part of the wider ERM group (one of the world’s largest sustainability consultancy firms). This fixed term contract role would suit a self-starter who is able to support the finance team by taking charge of the month end reporting process as well as providing financial support on a small number of key client projects. Key skill requirements Preferably, an experienced financial accountant/controller. A friendly, positive and outgoing attitude with the ability to build relationships across all areas of an organization A team player - Someone who is able to work as part of team under a matrix environment Be able to manage multiple deadlines whilst at the same time manage project manager expectations Be confident, inquisitive, pro-active and well organized Someone who is passionate about improving processes and putting financial controls in place Be comfortable working in an international environment High attention to detail Excellent Excel skills are an absolute requisite Fluent in English, plus either French or Dutch. (The business language of the organisation is English) Main Duties & Responsibility The main aspects of this role are:- To support and monitor the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Functions when required To run the month end close process to trial balance (Revenue and Costs) The completion of month end reporting to group Preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations To ensure the accuracy of data posted into the financial accounting system To prepare the monthly VAT and Balance of Payments declarations, and be the main point of contact for invoicing questions from the team and with the tax office (if required). To prepare the annual listing and .50 returns To work with an external accounting firm in preparing the annual statutory accounts, annual tax return and quarterly tax payments. To support more junior finance members with queries Supporting internal and external audits as and when required The successful candidate would also be responsible for supporting the business with adhoc financial support on a small number of client projects, which can include preparing clear and bespoke financial reports or raising invoices on request from the client or project manager.
