You will take the lead in 3D modeling and in the simulation of coordinated motions of multiple powertrains with flexible components and complex contact dynamics:

  • By focusing on the bottlenecks, you analyze structural loads and dynamics;
  • You will improve the control of machine motions (Python, Matlab, Simulink);
  • Using 3D modelling software (Simcenter 3DSiemens –Robotran – Matlab/Simscape Multibody) and plan the motion trajectories;
  • Re-conceive the system as a whole (e.g. physical parameters of components,
    E-flow, performance);
  • Within your field of expertise, you will be the point of contact. You are also able to explore new opportunities;
  • You will participate into technical discussions during the research;
  • Together with the team, you work out validation experiments.
  • You will define software architecture for prototypes of integrated systems in research of autonomous drive technology:

  • Take the lead in the software architecture for prototypes of integrated systems;
  • Together with a team of mechatronic engineers, you will work on vehicle localization, traject planning, moving obstacle detection, data exchange with other vehicles,…
  • Collaborate with your team on a strategy to integrate new intelligent software components;
  • Participate in the project from concept until real-time implementation (C++,…);

  • Ph.D. or Master degree from an accredited engineering program.
  • Experience with one or more of the domains above in an industrial or academic environment.
  • You ensure the best practice between theoretical and practical ideas.
