At Eni , we are looking for a Quantitative Analyst (Italian speaking)  at the Eni Global Energy Markets (EGEM) Brussels branch . You will be responsible for supporting the EGEM business on a wide variety of tasks and will work closely with the Gas Quantitative Analysis team, directly reporting to the Senior Vice President of the Gas Portfolio.

Starting from 1 January 2021, EGEM is active in the international trading of gas, power, CO2 (as a single interface between Eni and the markets), LNG and oil derivatives. It is a global, integrated approach designed to make the most of Eni’s network of contacts and wide asset portfolio. In turn, EGEM helps to optimise the management of Eni’s assets, promoting collaboration within the organisation and devising advanced risk-management solutions. EGEM enhances Eni’s unique position as a European leader in the gas sector, acting as a specialised hub for trading and commodity risk management.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for :

  • Supporting traders and portfolio managers in the valuation of complex gas assets, by developing and programming models;
  • Being part of the “Quant” community of Eni to guarantee best practices and the latest modelling approach;
  • Sharing knowledge with international teams about market insights from the wholesale market practices;
  • Supporting the traders in reporting positions and profit & loss of the assets under management;
  • Proposing trading strategies.
  • This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements :

  • University degree in a technical discipline;
  • Experience or knowledge of the energy market is advantageous;
  • Full command of the English and Italian language, knowledge of other languages beneficial;
  • Strong knowledge of Matlab/VBA/PYTHON/R analysis toolkits;
  • Acquaintance with relevant IT systems;
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
  • Strong and direct communicator (oral & written);
  • You are a team player with autonomy and discipline.
