Job summary:

  • Will project lead multiple projects at the same time
  • Assume responsibility of the deliverable of project outcomes (effect, lead time, costs)
  • Coach project managers in the GSC line organization to deliver on their projects
  • Ensure proper preparation of projects (business case & plans) in liaison with project owner and sponsor
  • Enable proper deployment in business after project conclusion in liaison with business process owner (s)
  • Take active part in increasing year over year GSC project/portfolio capability and productivity through GSC portfolio governance, structure and communication/engagement platforms
  • Major accountabilities:

    Day-to-day activities

  • Team-up with stream leaders to right scope, plan and resource the project. Be the Point of Contact for external consulting partner (if relevant)
  • Develop a committed project plan, ensuring requirements and deliverables definition
  • Define necessary skills and team composition to fulfil the assignment, arrange the necessary resources
  • Arrange where applicable outsourcing of tasks to external parties on basis of in-house specification
  • Identify project risks and define risk reduction and mitigation plans
  • Build the project team and give operational mentorship
  • Establish learning engine of the project so the team can focus its energy on flowing the project to conclusion
  • Monitor and control the work performed and the quality of the requirements; make agreed corrective actions & changes
  • Manage interests of all partners (including the interest of suppliers)
  • Align with Project sponsor and keep Stakeholders engaged

  • Lead the acceptance and the transfer of deliverables to the business process owner, functional lead or customer
  • Evaluate lessons learned and deploy agreed process improvements
  • Propose and contribute delivering enhancement of GSC portfolio governance and structure


  • Steer Cos, Senior mgmt. and Team on project progress, execution risks and solution options/scenarios for decision
  • GSC wide on project celebrations and learnings as well as opportunities to engage in upcoming projects
  • PMO connect, Townhalls and Newsletters to manage the wider circle of Stakeholders
  • Performance

  • Review project execution status and create recovery actions
  • Resolution of project execution conflicts
  • Adjusting project capacity to the actual demand situation (project portfolio options list)
  • Help prepare departmental budget requirements for investments and expenses based on project forecast
  • Training and deployment of project and project portfolio methodologies
  • Votre profil

  • Master's degree (business, project, supply chain)
  • Min. 10 years experience managing complex projects
  • PM certified 
  • Experience in managing large project portfolio, design & development of PMO governance
  • Experience in pharma, medical device, consumer goods, healthcare sector
  • Expertise in change management and lean/6 sigma
  • Experience leading supply chain operations (distribution, planning) or manufacturing
  • English mandatory
