The Industrial function’s role is to help the Solvay Group in safety initiatives and support the group's transformation in operational excellence.
Job Overview and Responsibilities
Assist a senior Project Manager in managing parts of major investment projects and/or manage medium projects (< 7 MEUR) under supervision of a senior project manager
Coordinate between different stakeholders (internal and external), interacts with specialists and experts, and ensure delivery within planning and against quality standards
Analyze customer specifications, documents and data
Prepare the execution plan related to the assigned portion of the project
Develop the planning for parts of the projects
Define, contract and coordinate the resources required to perform the assigned portion of the project
Be accountable for the consistency of the engineering deliverables (internal or subcontracted)
Monitor and control project progress, manage scope changes and prepare project reports to support communication to stakeholders
Optimize the investment through innovations, challenges or alternatives, leveraging technical skills, standards & methods
The Project Engineer will report directly to the Head of Projects.
Education and Experience
Master degree in an Engineering discipline (at least 5 years of relevant industrial experience)
Must have excellent written and oral communications skills.
Demonstrated and proven leadership capability – personnel development, leading teams, resolving conflict, sound judgment.
Strong project engineering / management skills.
Fluent in French and English
