Building on our heritage as a gas infrastructure company, we are committed to transporting other carbon-neutral energy carriers of the future.The Procurement department is responsible for the supply process for Fluxys Belgium and Fluxys LNG. It works with internal customers to establish the most appropriate procurement strategy to meet their needs, taking into account quality, price, delivery time, quantity and so on, in accordance with the open market principle. Each year, the Procurement department takes care of the procurement process for over 1,000 orders, while also handling hundreds of framework agreements. It contributes directly to the operation of the gas system by procuring the equipment and services required for the maintenance of gas facilities as well as other more general and indirect purchases.FunctionAs Procurement Manager, you will lead a team of around 10 members of staff (purchasers and assistants) and ensure that the department's tasks are carried out as efficiently as possible from both a technical and an organisational perspective;Each year, you will determine and update the Procurement department's strategy and ensure that it is properly disseminated throughout the organisation;You will work with your internal customers to break down this departmental strategy into strategies for individual categories and determine appropriate areas for improvement/monitoring indicators;You will also foster relations with internal customers through SPOC meetings and various internal business meetings throughout the year;You will lead, supervise and motivate your team, adopting a dialogue-based approach. You will see to the smooth running of the team and the development of your staff;You will ensure an optimal division of procurement tasks among your team members as well as a consistent approach for the various purchasing categories with a view to delivering all the requested contracts; you make also choices relating to the outsourcing of certain purchasing categories;As a custodian of the department's performance, you will be responsible for monitoring performance indicators and ensuring that these are communicated regularly to internal customers and company management. You will suggest improvements to optimise the efficiency and running of the department (through automation or digitalisation);Working with the various members of your team, you will maintain active knowledge of the market for various (non-)technical purchasing categories; You foster and develop relations with strategic and potential suppliers; You will suggest updates to the company's procurement policy, as well as methods and tools, devise and implement efficient procurement processes with a view to reducing request processing times;You bring to bear your vision on procurement governance and the company's CSR approach;In collaboration with the Legal department, you will make sure that work methods evolve in line with the legal framework;You will keep abreast of digital media requirements throughout the organisation in order to effectively handle the procurement process.ProfileYou hold a Master's degree (in Economics, Engineering, Law, etc.);You have at least 10 years' experience in procurement and in a managerial role;You must have active knowledge of procurement practices in an industrial environment (including public procurement); market knowledge of areas relating to the energy sector would be an asset;You have the ability to forge relationships with various stakeholders (such as internal customers at periodic SPOC meetings, suppliers, support teams and peers);You are persuasive and customer-focused and have real integrity;You look beyond individual procurement cases and have the ability to devise a procurement approach with internal and external stakeholders;You are familiar with tools supporting the various aspects of the procurement process (internal tracking, relations with suppliers, sourcing possibilities, and so on);You are fluent in Dutch and French and have a very good knowledge of English.More infoSean Tommissen - 02 282 72 86Additional Information
