Bell Labs Consulting is Nokia Bell Labs’ next-generation technology advisory arm. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that uses technology expertise, bold technology theses, ‘future-back’ foresight and deep, impartial analyses to help the C-Suite of our communication service provider and enterprise customers create new value through the application of new technologies. We reach back into the research arm of Bell Labs for leading edge thinking and deep technical expertise that gives us a unique capability in the market

Are you passionate about solving problems ?

We are currently looking for a strong engagement consultant profile to strengthen our team. You will be at the very front line and cutting edge of the technology evolution as well as dealing with our most ambitious and visionary customers. The consultant will be responsible for developing deep technical collateral related to the challenges and solutions for current and next generation networks and will also interface, interact and support customer engagement, perform business development to get new orders and deliver during engagements.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Provide strategic advice on digital orchestration in modern network architectures like hybrid cloud wireless and fixed networks.
  • Lead and develop key customer engagements around orchestration, slicing and digital platforms that supports the overall digital transformation and operations of our customers
  • Partner with customer and stakeholders in defining and solving complex strategic problems arising from the ongoing business and technology changes our customers are experiencing
  • Develop and lead the customer though the implications and financial impact of the identified strategic solutions being proposed to the customer.
  • Lead the development of colleagues’ knowledge of the scope, complexities, nuances and technicalities of the operational congruence required to benefit and monetize disruptions.
  • Demonstrate Bell Labs Consulting’s thought leadership in digital operations through whitepaper publications, blogs and technical presentations to industry experts and customers
  • Drive and manage up-sell. Be an innovative and proactive partner for the business development efforts. Deliver demanding, high value consulting to customers during large and/or complex projects and in standalone consulting engagements.
  • Generate whitepapers, case studies and other thought leadership collateral. Ensure that customer engagements spin off thought leadership, and that our though leadership finds valuable applications in our engagements.
  • Your skills and experience

     You have:

  • A personality that customer will gravitate to and seek out. Strong ability to quickly build credibility and trust with customers as well as internal stakeholders
  • Strong experience in orchestration and operational aspects of CSP and Enterprise networks, with emphasis on the use of data, applications, and digital technologies to drive innovation and operational effectiveness.
  • Understanding of business relevance of Digital Innovation, Operations and Transformation as a business enabler rather than a business impediment
  • Experience with Orchestration and Service Management platforms in concert with VNF and hybrid cloud operations.
  • Lifecycle management such as DevOps and Software Engineering is an advantage
  • In-depth technical expertise in the foundational technologies of today’s and tomorrow’s communication and enterprise networks. Strong ability to link current view and path to longer terms goals in partnership with our customers.
  • Executive customer engagement capabilities, including ability to communicate in a compelling way, solve problems creatively and partner to find solutions to the customer’s challenges.
  • Ability to explain and evangelize complex strategic problems and solutions, with excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the industry landscape, including customers, potential partners, direct competitors, and competing and emerging technologies and architectures
  • Strong business, market and technology research skills
  • Fast learning of new concepts, technologies and business value propositions
  • Strong self-motivation to explore new technologies and new business models
  • Strong skills in mathematical analysis, collecting and analyzing data, and spreadsheet model-building and relevant programming of models where needed.
  • Good consulting competencies with personable consultative style
  • Willingness to travel as required
