An operational role responsible for the Support and Development team of the Bacteriology quality control operations (Biology & Raw Material Department).
* Support the manufacturing operations through microbiological and chemical tests
* Develop and validate analytical methods linked to equipment validation
* Manage a team of Technicians
Manage endotoxin and bioburden tests performed in his team to support commercial manufacturing (investigations, process validations, equipment validations), industrialization operations (process development and evaluation), Microbial & Endotoxin risk assessments
Manage endotoxin, Total Organic Carbon, Conductivity and Atomic Adsorption Spectrophotometry tests performed in his team to develop and validate analytical methods linked to equipment validation
Review and approve technical and validation documents linked to his activities and expertise (procedures, technical reports, validation protocols and reports…)
Supervise a team in keeping with operations needs and team capacities and capabilities, responsible to reallocate activities in the team if needed
Manage team performances through regular shopfloor presence, define action plans, ensure the implementation and measure through KPIs
Evaluate skills and performances, defines and ensures regular follow-up of development plans of each team member
Manage complex technical and/or production problems, evaluate potential impact on product quality and escalate to management
Ensure the compliance on EHS topics in his/her area and develop the EHS mindset within his/her team and peers
Ensure Quality Systems (deviation, OOS investigation, CAPA, documentation, training, change control, validation activities, maintenance and calibration activities) are in place/in use and handled in a timely manner
Promote continuous improvement mindset in a day to day activities within his/her team and peers

Global Quality Departments is responsible for setting up all global rules and regulations to ensure GSK vaccine products are manufactured, tested, released and distributed in compliance with regulatory requirements.
The QA Belgium departments manage all product quality related activities in industrial operations in Belgium, including regulatory compliance. The scope covers any action that potentially impacts final product quality. The QA Belgium department is also responsible for the release of final products made in Belgium and abroad.
Quality for Research & Development in partnership with R&D teams promotes quality and enables them ensuring activities of Research & Development are delivered in a compliant and sustainable way, in order to guarantee patient safety, company and regulators satisfaction, as well as successful product pipeline delivery.
Why You?Basic qualifications:
Master degree in Sciences (Microbiology, Bio Engineering, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, …)
At least 2,5 years professional experience in the pharmaceutical / biotech / medical device / food industry or equivalent environment including quality control related experience
Direct experience and knowledge in Microbiology
Experience in leading people / team management
