Lead Analyst

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Lead Analyst – Finance EPM Solution Architecture that will be located in the highly preferred locations of New Brunswick, NJ / Markham, Canada / Beerse, Belgium with consideration to other flexible locations.

You will work at the intersection of the finance team and technology to help define strategies that combine a deep understanding of business objectives, challenges, with technology solutions and extending them into development execution, value realization & ongoing product management. There is flexibility on the location where this role will be based, with strong preference to location in New Brunswick, NJ; Markham, Canada; or Beerse, Belgium. In this role, you will work with the EPM squad team members for specific initiatives (for example, Long Range Financial Plan and Target Cascade) to understand business needs, write business-language user stories & lead technical delivery of solutions aligned to those stories, including support for development of prototype/POC.

In addition to the Qualifications, we would expect you to have the following technical knowledge:

  • Perform analysis and provide recommendations for when Anaplan forecasting methodologies should be advanced to include use of predictive forecasting
  • In partnership with Finance and IT Leadership, analyze metrics and outcomes to prioritize and deliver continuous improvement backlog for future value creation
  • Partner with IT product analysts to define & document detailed user stories
  • Partner with data model owners to define & uphold data standards to meet stakeholders various & reporting use cases
  • Execute sprint review testing during product build sprint cycles & provide feedback on both defects & user experience
  • Partner with global process owners to define robust, integrated testing scenarios
  • Partner with Central Finance & SAP HANA teams to ensure robust master & fact data exists for testing scenarios
  • Write robust integrated test scripts for business simulation & user acceptance testing cycles
  • Support lead solution architects during integrated testing cycles including tester support, defect triage & mitigation strategies
  • Perform various master & fact data validation exercises throughout the build/testing cycles
  • Provide input & feedback on training materials & associated documentation
  • Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. Preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years preferred of relevant experience in defining and documenting requirements and supporting finance function
  • Strong technical focus with prior work experience in financial planning and budgeting technology solutions, such as TM1, Hyperion, and/or Anaplan, is required
  • Knowledge of Anaplan is required.
  • Experience with all aspects of the product development lifecycle as well as Agile methodology is preferred.
  • Experience working to bring products/services to market strongly desired.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel
