The 2020 horizon creates a massive opportunity for you as java front-end developer: you will create, together with a team, a completely new application in Java & JavaScript which manages air traffic in Europe and beyond.

What will you do?
o You'll get the chance to step into a new project where you will be creating a top notch application which manages the air traffic in Europe and beyond.
o You can imagine it will be complex and challenging, but that's your 'energizer'.
o You will be part of a team of functional analysists, developers and an agile project leader/scrum master.
o You work on technical design according to the principle of pair-programming and test-driven development.
o As you are a real "software craftsman", you write qualitative, easy to read code and refactor where necessary. You guarantee quality through test drive development and continuous learning.
o Hands-on design and software development based on the functional analysis, ensuring good integration with external applications.
o Building high quality applications that generate extra business value for our customers.
o Actively sharing your knowledge and contributing to continuous improvement is key to you.
o You will work in English speaking environment, so you can fluently speak and write in English. Speaking French or Dutch is an asset, not a must.

Who are we looking for?
o You are a passionate Java developer with demonstrable professional experience with analysis, design, implementation and delivery of applications in Java technology.
o You bring along your technical skills & knowledge such as:
# JavaScript and ReactJS (Redux is a plus)
# HTML, HTML Semantics and CSS
# experience with ANT, Maven and Gradle
# open source tools based on Java technology and Java IDE like Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA Experience in JAXB
# lifecycle management, continuous integration and the necessary tools (Jira, GitHub, Docker, Gradle, etc.)
# Perl
# Experience with GWT, Sencha GXT or Swing
# communication protocols: http/https, TCP/IP, CORBA
# JDBC/JPA/JTA
# Junit and eventually Soap UI
# Unix or Linux, including knowledge of a scripting language such as, Bash, Korn-shell
o Having an excellent knowledge of OO design, including design patterns, is a must.
o Experience with application integration and excellent competences in relational databases is essential. You can also bring your extensive No-SQL knowledge.
