ENERCON is currently looking for a I&C Engineer to join our team Millstone Nuclear Plant in CT. This will be a temporary position expected to last 12+ months.
Key Responsibilities will be:
Perform a variety of complex nuclear I & C design engineering activities
Provide technical leadership and support to engineering staff, guides and reviews deliverables
Work with the Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE) engineering supervision and project management
Provide direct support to project engineering staff by involvement with product development activities to ensure design products satisfy customer, contract and regulatory requirements
Facilitates resolution of inter-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary technical and quality issues
Plans and directs the timely execution of assigned engineering activities
Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships
As a qualified candidate, you will have the above experience and meet the below requirements:
BS degree in Engineering
10+ years of I&C engineering experience supporting nuclear power plants.
Candidates must have a solid understanding of nuclear plants systems and regulations, I&C systems, instrumentation, digital systems hardware and software, and working knowledge of related codes and standards
Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, standards, practices, and procedures in I&C engineering to the completion of difficult assignments
Knowledge of Instrumentation & Control design, drawing principles, engineering calculations, design and drafting tools
An aptitude for technical problem solving, strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication, experience working in a team environment, and a client service focus
Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management
Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to present to clients
Nuclear plant design experience and/or field experience working to a nuclear QA Program.
Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Visio, Access and PowerPoint
Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings; ENERCON and client specific background checks; and an annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies
