You work in our Zwijndrecht offices as part of our Hydrodynamics team dealing with the technical preparation of our marine engineering projects worldwide. Hydrodynamical design of marine constructions like breakwaters, dikes, shore and scour protections, etc.
Morphological calculations to evaluate stability of slopes, beaches, infill of trenches and channels, etc.
Weather downtime calculations for our marine equipment
Collect and analyze metocean data to study local site conditions as input for design of structures, weather downtime calculations, etc
Applying numerical models to simulate flow, wave and morphological patterns
Follow-up of specialized consultants that perform hydraulic engineering studies
You collaborate with tender or project teams, both during the preparation and the execution of our projects worldwide. For tenders and projects with a large hydraulic scope, you can also become part of those teams
You will receive an advanced training in various aspects of hydrodynamics
You will be based in our head office and work mainly in Belgium, but short missions abroad will be part of your job
You are a qualified Industrial or Civil Engineer with a specialization in construction or marine engineering with preferably some years of experience in a similar profession
You are dynamic and a team player
More in-depth experience with hydrodynamics is an asset
Affinity with hydro- and morphodynamic modelling software is a strong asset
Affinity with data analyzing software such as Matlab or Python is an asset
You are fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of any other language is a strong asset
