Global Procurement Manager

Your Job

  • Strategic planning for continued development of the global service (alliance) partner network in line with the overall corporate development strategy
  • Continuously develop partnering models (e.g., franchise, rebadging models, etc.)
  • Cooperate with the heads of the different business units (value delivery centres) and country managers to identify local needs and corresponding new partners to further expand the service network
  • Maintain an up to date database of all service partners (e.g., services provided, contact information, rates, etc.)
  • Evaluate performance of the service partner regularly on project deliverables (quality, timelines, budget) in close cooperation with local leaders and project managers
  • Implementation of PLx Group standards and regulations at partner level
  • Build robust working relationships to establish a strong collaboration with key VDC personnel, Managing Directors, and the Group functions to deliver value and excellence in all work undertaken for customers with the support of the service partners
  • Negotiate and review master service agreements frequently in order to ensure compliance with latest PLX and business / customer standards and to achieve competitive pricing
  • Escalate service problems to partner management to find short-term solutions
  • Support the qualification process of new service partners as well the regular audit reports to ensure compliance with business and customer needs
  • Support administrative set up of service partners (i.e. training administration, provision of access to Plx systems and laptops if applicable
  • Provide timely support to CSO and CCO functions during bidding processes (e.g. proposing of potential partners, additional pricing negotiations if necessary, other requested support)
  • The employee agrees to take over other reasonable tasks that are correspondent with his role and his abilities by the General Management.

    Your Profile

  • At least 5 years of years of hands on experience and working in supplier management / procurement roles with relevant business sectors (healthcare / pharmaceutical) and types of vendors (professional services).
  • Successful completion of a bachelor or master’s degree in economics
  • Experience in identifying, recruiting and continuously evaluating service providers on a global scale
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization with cross functional teams
  • Able to multi-task, solution driven and resourcefulness in setting priorities
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Professional English written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects
  • English language fluency
  • Adaptability, resilience, willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel
