GSK have a new role within Facilities, Capital and Logistics Procurement for a Manager, Capital Construction Services Manager .
As a Facilities, Capital and Logistics Procurement, Capital Construction Services Manager you will be operating in a highly complex, multi-stakeholder and cross-functional environment where you will be responsible for developing construction category strategies. You will be executing and implement these strategies in regions, with a strong focus across Europe region (circa 20 sites), addressing c£250m annual spend. You will be also supporting other regions depending on the Capex needs.
In this role, you will work with and influence stakeholders to ensure GSK is leveraging scale, creating best in class partnerships with key contractors and suppliers and delivering quality end user, infrastructure services and construction activities in a cost-conscious manner.

Global responsibilities for Engineering Services Category through internal analysis, external analysis and strategic options (stage gates A and B) and oversight of implementation (stage C)
Oversight of all Capex projects in the region: 3years Capex plan, overall consolidation of Capex spend (for all Capital Teams), identify top critical projects, attendance to Capex governance meetings of the region, overall consolidation of cash improvement savings and sharing information cross Capex team
Define & deliver optimised contracting and procurement strategies for major capex projects/capex portfolio in the region dealing with complex sourcing, logistics and quality issues in a fast paced and challenging environment
Procurement partner for capex projects/capex portfolio in the region, supported for the packages sourcing by category owners/contingent workers
Introduce procurement in the earliest stage of capex projects to define the best contracting and procurement strategies considering the project triggers
Accountable to define and execute contracting and procurement strategy of capex projects (e.g. EPCM, EPC, IPD) in the region
Accountable of Packages sourcing of capex projects according to category strategies
Accountable in contracting and in project execution (e.g. steering attendance, contract management, contractual changes, claim, contract close-out)
Manage relationship with main contractors dedicated to capex projects and conduct regular business reviews with senior management to ensure GSK Vaccines requirements are met, employing supplier evaluation and continuous improvement management
Role of sharing of supplier’s information/performance/issues with other Category Managers and being supported by them upon request
Promote innovation and ideas coming from supplier base to challenge internal position to reduce cost and timing
Supervise contingent worker(s), acting a project procurement partner supporting all Capex projects of the region
Strong focus in Europe region (circa 20 sites), with flexibility to support other regions in the world, depending on Capex projects needs
Master level degree in Business/Procurement or similar
Proven Procurement experience across multiple spend categories: Capex or Indirect Categories is highly preferable
Experience in Capex projects and Construction is highly preferable
Experience in Pharma, Food, FMCG. Life sciences background is a plus
Ideally having a strong understanding about technical categories present within all capital projects: building services and process/biotech equipment, construction and technical contractors
Strategic sourcing: set-up of long-term strategy for category management (market analysis RFI, RFQ, contract development, contract management, supplier relationship management)
Demonstrated ability in managing categories is required, particularly with respect to developing & implementing strategies, stakeholder management and supplier relationship management
Demonstrated experience in influencing strategy and managing across multiple geographies and supply chains
Extensive experience across key procurement processes:Category strategy and category managementMarket analysisFull end-to-end sourcing process on defined purchasing categories: request for information / request for proposals / request for quotations / request for solutionsNegotiationContract ManagementSupplier Performance Evaluation & Supplier Relationship Management
Experience in Lean / Six Sigma tools is a plus
