JOB TITLE Manager/ Senior Manager, Global Pricing

NATURE & SCOPE

This position is responsible for providing pricing support for the in-market and pipeline assets.

This will involve a) managing development, roll out and maintenance of pricing tools, procedures, and policies; b) coordinating flow of price information and approvals across the organization; c) conducting pricing/access analysis in select disease areas and across therapies; d) developing and utilizing models to conduct quantitative analysis of price impact on profitability.

This is a Global position and the job holder will act as a partner to the other members of the GPA team(s), especially Global Pricing and Access to New Medicines, and will work closely with various internal stakeholders in affiliate and global functions. In this capacity, he/she may be involved in the preparation, execution and follow-up of high level meetings related to the global pricing strategy and its implementation with key global and/or affiliate operations colleagues.

Depending on the profile of the candidate, this position may also encompass an involvement in strategic pricing or general market access-related projects in support of the above-mentioned compounds.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manage development, roll out and maintenance of cross-affiliate / cross PVU pricing tools, procedures, and policies

* Support development of global pricing policies

* Manage development, roll out and maintenance of global pricing tools: ensure system infrastructure, maintain global pricing templates, manage user access

* Prepare global training materials, train regional / PVU users, evaluate and implement system adaptations

* Ensure successful roll-out of newly-developed tools and policies; provide internal training to affiliate and global users

* Effectively manage pricing vendors to assure timely delivery of any pricing and market access related projects

Coordinate flow of price information and approvals across the organization

* Support regional organizations when it comes to the development of price change requests for review and approval by Regional / Global Pricing Committee(s)

* If required, lead the development of price change requests for review and approval by the Global Pricing Committee

* Audit global systems to make sure decisions are compliant with UCB pricing policies and are properly documented

Assess current and future local / regional / global pricing and reimbursement trends

* Assess local / regional / global pricing trends for UCB and competitive products; monitor global pricing environment

* Stay on-top, and ensure timely awareness, of important policy changes in terms of pricing & reimbursement

* Help UCB stakeholders translate global trends into relevant produce-related specifications (e.g. how they are modelled in product-specific forecasts) which can be effectively tracked over time

* Establish access benchmarks (i.e. yearly price increases) for commercial modelling purposes

Provide pricing support to the Access to New Medicines Team

* Support development of 10-year pricing guidance for the early product portfolio

* Provide pricing analytics support (e.g. analysis of competitor's prices, reimbursement landscape, summary analysis of the P/reimbursement landscape when new disease area to UCB , etc)

* Conduct pricing/access analysis of case studies in other disease areas that could be a learning case (e.g orphan disease, disease modification)

Develop and utilizing models to conduct quantitative analysis of price impact on profitability

* Inform relevant stakeholders about financial impact of changes in price across geographies and provide recommendations to facilitate fact-based decisions

* Inform relevant stakeholders about price corridors, price evolution, and movements towards floor; track and flag potential issues to management

* Develop estimations about future price movements for budgeting, taking into consideration country-specific rules, impact of changes in prices across markets (e.g. referencing, parallel trade), and launch sequence optimization

* Develop and support tailored pricing models according to business needs

* Develop and support customer requested data reports

JOB PROFILE

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Health Economics or another quantitative discipline

Or Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Health Economics or another quantitative discipline

Experience

* Minimum 2-3 years of (hands-on) experience in healthcare or healthcare-related industry

* Minimum of two years of experience in regional / global pricing, contracting or strategic planning involving quantitative price and market analysis

* Affiliate-based experience is desirable

Specific skills (Include specific skills and knowledge necessary to meet the objectives of the position)

* Strong quantitative and analytical skills

* Demonstrated mastery of high level Excel functionality (pivot tables, look-ups, etc.) and complex formulas

* Excellent financial analysis skills; ability to analyze large amounts of data quickly and accurately

* Excellent project management skills
