The Global Category Leader - CE & CCPM will be responsible for leading Categories of approximately $1.3billion in spend for Johnson & Johnson Companies. This spend is Large to Medium complex in nature and requires a collaboration with key stakeholders within the business to execute. This individual will identify, develop and direct the implementation of Procurement goals and strategy and will be responsible for scouting the market for new technologies and innovation. Plan and direct the organization's activities and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, and service and compliance adherence.

It will provide Global and Regional Leadership for category sourcing including category strategy development, creating sourcing strategy, managing contract negotiation and implementation. The position must shape, connect and lead resources to deliver on key projects.

It is accountable for the day-to-day operation of the function. Responsible for the development, implementation and on-going management of operations plans for the department that are in line with and support overall business objectives for all the J&J segments and J&J Enterprise

The Global Category Leader Capital Equipment, Construction and Project Management's scope of responsibilities include:

Directs the operational, functional and personnel activities of the department. Formulates purchasing policies, procedures and performance standards. Initiates department internal audits and seeks remedies to ensure conformance with department policies, procedures and quality specifications. Establishes department budget and manpower requirements and monitors expenses. Develops appropriate departmental objectives in line with business goals and monitors department's performance against objectives. Interfaces with other department heads regarding escalated problems and manages issues to resolutions. Monitors inventory back orders and overstock. Maintains awareness of key market trends and pricing as well as the development of new materials or products and recommends and/or councils other on these changes. Oversees category strategies development supplier selection and participates in negotiation of contracts for key initiatives. Establishes and maintains relationships with key
vendors.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
* Direct and assign resources to resolve issues
* Engage with Stakeholders to understand business needs and provide insights
* Present project business cases and progress updates to Senior leadership
* Lead team meetings and provide updates to Procurement Leadership
* Provide Performance/Metrics updates
* Maintain awareness of Functional and Market trends
* Conduct performance reviews/serve as People Manager for Subordinate Leads

Other Duties
* High level of proficiency with core Procurement skills (e.g., supplier management and performance, supply market analysis, Category Management, Procurement Excellence, etc.)
* High level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community
* Strong influencing skills with ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints and understand differing needs of stakeholders (e.g., businesses, Procurement LT, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Engineering); has "bold presence"
* Proven project manager with ability to lead cross-functional teams (10~12 direct reports)
* Ability to Lead global teams and develop talent with different culture mindset
* Strong business acumen with ability to manage budgets effectively
* Strong experience in acquiring technical manufacturing equipment such as Robotics & Workstations
* Strong leadership, communication, influencing, collaboration skills are required
* Proven knowledge related to Manufacturing for the Future concept and experience in some of the projects part of MFF
* Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment, while ensuring the organization can effectively and efficiently move through transitions
* Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices and core Procurement areas of focus regarding Supplier Management
* Strong verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present complex information
* Strategic thinking, analytical skills, sound judgment and decision making/problem solver

Qualifications
* Experienced professional with business experience in multiple roles across a variety of functional specialties including General Management, Project Management (FPX), Supply Chain or a Technical field (preferred Engineering) with at least 5+ years within a Procurement environment
* Minimum a bachelor degree in Engineering or Science
* Minimum of 3 years of people management experience
* Ability to manage organizations through transformational change
* Strong project management skills (FPX)
* Proven Law knowledge and expertise, mainly over contracting and risk mitigation
* Strong intellectual curiosity
* Strong attitude to be a "change agent"
