Key Responsibilities of the job
We are looking for a senior full stack developer with experience in AWS development, understands the architecture of AWS deployment and who will be responsible for the technical realization of project related transactions, i.e. responsible for independently implementing the design of new transactions within the architectural framework and respecting development standards. You are motivated and interested in web based technologies and a team player. You are communicative and can easily translate functional requirements into a technical implementation, ability to design and architect the AWS Infrastrucutre components and discuss your own technical requirements with your front-end, midtier (Java) and back-end (Mainframe) colleagues. You have attention for quality, maintainability, security, performance and testing. You document your status and progress in our JIRA ticketing system and document your code in our Confluence wiki. You have the ambition to obtain the best possible result for our customer and are not afraid to point attention points and/or propose improvements along the way.

Skills and Experience
The Ideal candidate speaks fluently English, hands-on experience in full stack development (Java stack) and good understanding on AWS concepts and have a business-ready mind-set.

Qualifications and Certifications

At least Bachelor degree, preferably in Information Management

Mandatory technical knowledge/experience: Strong JavaScript skills; knowledge of advanced JavaScript concepts e.g. scope, functional programming (closures), event bubbling, inheritance, threading Knowledge of JavaScript MVC frameworks (Angularjs, Angular2+, backbone, …), either professionally or as a private interest Core Java: language and OOPS concepts, Java threading model, concurrency concepts, designing and coding with Generics and Collections Java Spring MVC (must), Spring Webflow (preferred) Java Spring IOC (must), Spring Boot (Must), Spring Aspect (preferred) Minimum 6 years of experience in enterprise software development Minimum 4 years of experience in JavaScript and backend development Minimum 2 years of experience in Angular Exposure and understanding of AWS infrastructure and implementation Java knowledge on web services/REST/JSON Coffeescript, Typescript Angular JS, Angular 2+ Design patterns Advanced CSS3 knowledge Database modelling and design

Knowledge / experience in following environments: GIT Node Tomcat (not mandatory) Webstorm Eclipse Firefox/Firebug/Chrome Dev Tools

Fluent in English

Excellent analytical, communication skills and assertive/pro-active and motivated

Team player and team leadership

Eager to learn new skills

Experience in working in an agile development environment

Experience of working in a security conscious environment

Previous Banking or Insurance experience is desirable, but not mandatory

Willing to travel to the Benelux on occasion.
