For our Oevel Plant we are looking for a Financial Analyst.

Summary of Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst is an active participant in the execution of business strategy and delivering relevant short-term and long-term financial analyses to support profitable business growth. In addition, this role is responsible for goal setting, providing updates on financial progress, improvement initiatives, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Essential Job Functions

Monitor financial performance of the business, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.

Support monthly financial reporting and the monthly business review process.

Provide timely, concise, and actionable financial information to the business, including gap analyses.

Proactively collect information from manufacturing plants, procurement, supply chain, etc. to forecast near-term results. Use “rolling forecast” methodology to accommodate updated requests.

Assist in the coordination and development of the business’ annual operating plan, strategic plan, and trajectory.

Prepare month-end closing deliverables.

Manage rebate and commission agreement accruals and payments.

Provide pricing and profitability analysis.

Perform financial analysis for capital investments, including cash flow forecasts.

Highlight any taxation or treasury issues arising on transactions within the business to the appropriate corporate departments.

Support adherence to documented internal controls and assist with development of new controls.

Ad hoc projects as needed.

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or educational equivalent

Minimum 3 years of financial experience in a multinational company

Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

Well-organized, flexible, ability to prioritize work

Proactive, self-starter with the desire to achieve

Ability to work well under pressure

CONSIDERED A PLUS: Masters degree French and/or Dutch language skills SAP, Power BI, and BW knowledge Cost accounting experience

The Oevel production plant is with more than 160 employees the largest plant of Lubrizol Advanced Materials in Belgium.
