Purpose of the job:
Analyse, identify, define, validate, implement, optimize, document and train the environmental compliance processes.
Provide process support for the Environmental Compliance Office in such a way that compliance is embedded within Barco’s business processes.
Maintain and optimize the process by means of methodology, documentation, training and tools.
Follow-up world-wide environmental legislation and translate applicable legislation into compliance requirements (for example: ecodesign, hazardous substance and waste regulation).
Translate compliance requirements and roles into companywide processes, covering all R&D divisions and all relevant supporting disciplines (R&D, ELS, procurement, Quality, product management, supply chain, Logistics, Sales, …)
Gatekeep environmental product compliance for new developed products; aligned with Barco’s worldwide NPI process.
Maintain and update Barco’s Ecoscore tool methodology according ISO 14021 requirements. Coach R&D to further improve the Ecoscore of products.
Responsible to maintain the automated process between Barco’s ERP system and compliance reporting (in collaboration with IT).
Support reporting WEEE, batteries and packaging data to comply with EPR obligations.
Masters Degree in a technical domain (engineering, sustainability, ecology, …) or equivalent by experience
2 years of process implementation experience in a similar design and/or production environment
Good knowledge about best practises in the product lifecycle process and management systems
Experience with Product Data Management tools
Experience with Ecodesign
Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written (communication, documentation)
Good organization, planning and problem-solving skills
Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills to resolve process, methodology and tool issues
Fast learning / willing to learn about environmental compliance, Ecodesign and Barco products
Passion for achieving results and optimization
Able to work in a multi-cultural team
Service oriented team-player
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
