You will be a member of a global team, charged with developing our future exhaust aftertreatment and emissions products. These products protect the environment and improve people’s lives by reducing pollution from Heavy-Duty diesel engines.
Develop exhaust aftertreatment system for Heavy-Duty diesel engines. Your focus is on finding novel aftertreatment solutions, promoting these at (potential) customers and following up the early phases of actual customer projects.
Transform engineering creativity into realistic designs and working closely with OE customer to optimize the performance.
Be the link between the CFD experts, the engine laboratory and the application engineering. On a regular base you will participate in creative discussions on the development of our new products.
Create novel aftertreatment solutions capable of meeting/exceeding new emissions standards.
Visit (potential) customers to communicate the technical aspects of these novel EAT solutions
Influence the application engineers to achieve a design freeze of the final product.
Collaborate with program managers and project leaders during the early phases of the development.
Attend conferences and follow industry literature. Keep track of the pulse of the industry and apply this knowledge to the daily R&D work.
Publish industry white papers on your work, and participate in patent filing.
Engineering Master degree (mechanical or automotive, or equivalent by experience)
Solid, proven experience in an automotive R&D environment
An eye for detail and a customer-oriented mindset will drive you to deliver results.
Good understanding of, or genuine interest in engine emission technology.
Specific knowledge of following fields are considered assets for the position: diesel engine exhaust emissions, sheet metal manufacturing technology, fluid dynamics
Fluent in English. Dutch, French or German are considered an asset.
Open to travel within Europe (1-2 times/ month)
