Construction Manager / Project Manager

BBGS sprl, a subgroup of PORR Deutschland GmbH, provides comprehensive services related to the construction and operation of buildings for government agencies as well as state and international organizations, especially government agencies of the United States. The company's activities include consulting on planning and execution of building and industrial construction projects as well as facility management and energy management of the property and its facilities. Both engineers and architects with extensive experience in these areas implement the customer requests IAW European and American requirements.
 
Key responsibilities 

  • Perform the works in accordance with the contract conditions, design, technical knowledge and time schedule
  • Organize and coordinate the works on the site
  • Prepare plan of the site installation
  • Prepare working shifts plan
  • Prepare and update general time schedule of the works
  • Prepare list necessary for resources and equipments
  • Participate in negotiations with subcontractors 
  • Supervise and coordinate the subcontracted works 
  • Carry on logbook and photo documentation of the works
  • Participate in technical and coordination meetings
  • Check documents as drawings, minutes of meetings and the notifications/orders, etc.
  • Prepare technical input for answering the client’s notifications/orders
  • Report to Project Management any deviations in works
  • Procure and order small deliveries
  • Realize other tasks assigned by the Project Management
  • Coordinate with client’s representative on site and participate in regular meetings
  • Prepare time schedules for smaller projects 
  • Prepare quality reports

Requirements 

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Architect or Technician 
  • Specialization in execution of buildings
  • At least 10 years of experience in work of a similar nature 
  • Thorough knowledge of contract standards and contract administration
  • Sense of overall responsibility for the project from start to handover
  • Language skills – French, Flemish, English, communicative and in writing
  • Driving license 
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel), Primavera would be an advantage
