The Business Analyst will develop market leading analytics approaches, support further expansion of reporting platforms, and continuously drive capability improvements to turn data in to business insights. The scope of this position encompasses all MD - Ethicon, CSS and DPS business units in all regions worldwide. This individual will maintain an in-depth business relationship with the key stakeholders and will facilitate, govern, and lead report creation.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
Ensure accurate KPI reporting on weekly/monthly basis
Support in development of specific analytics solutions for deployment by global process leaders and other partners
Support in drive benchmarking, evaluation, and implementation of best practices to business reporting / analytics capabilities
Facilitate the exploration & development of advanced analytics and machine-learning to complex problems
Lead projects to include new businesses or incorporate changes in business processes into the Insight, fidelity and discovery platforms while still ensuring accurate reporting.
Dashboard building in Tableau and PowerBI for Executive level dashboards as well as analytical dashboards
Support the user community on questions regarding data for dashboard creation.
Identify opportunities for improvement in supply chain processes based on mining, analysis, and inference of data.
Drive operational excellence through the automation of reporting and removal of manual steps in the process
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree with technical or business qualification is required.
Experience in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing in an international environment is preferred.
Masters/PhD Degree in an associated field is desirable
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS
Knowledge of Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau or other visualization tools is preferred.
Experience in data science, statistical methods, and/or computer science is preferred (Machine-learning and AI applications)
Previous experience with Data Engineering, Big data and Data warehouses is preferred with a knowledge of SQL or SAS.
Process Excellence/Green Belt Six Sigma tools, training, and/or certification is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR OTHERS & INTERNAL INTERACTIONS
The data analyst will report to the Analytics Manager.
