As the name suggests, a quality engineer is someone who ensures that a product meets the quality standards laid down by the organization as well as regulatory and certifying bodies.
Quality engineers work across different fields and their main job is to test a product and compare it against its specifications and quality standards to understand if it should be sent back to the design and implementation team, or whether it is good to go to the next process in production.

A Master's degree is required for higher positions and better salary. Professional certificates are also offered by eminent bodies, and these certificates greatly increase your job prospects. Needless to say, experience adds value as well.
